About Me
Hi, I'm Amy Kowal. I am a Counselling Therapist with the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta (ACTA), and an Associate member of the Canadian Association of Couple and Family Therapy (CACFT) My journey into counselling began after working with students, where I developed a deep commitment for helping young people navigate their emotional, spiritual and relational worlds. With years of experience supporting students and families, I bring an understanding of the challenges and dynamics that shape family life. In therapy sessions, I draw from my education, my professional background and my own lived experience of marriage and raising my four (now adult!) children. I know firsthand some of the complexities of parenting, relationships and life transitions. My approach integrates clinical knowledge with compassionate care, and the occasional dose of good humour!
